In our small village of Baio Dora, there were already spontaneous ensembles playing fifes and drums at carnival in the early 1950s.
In 1977, some members of the Carnival Committee at the time decided to attempt to form a group of pipes and drums made up of very young boys, and so our village too began to contribute to keeping alive that tradition of melodious and unique playing that has its roots in the 16th century in the formations present in the Savoy armies.
